چکیده
: Yarrowia lipolytica is a haploid, aerobic, and non-pathogenic yeast with biotechnological importance due to its lipolytic proteolytic properties. It capable of producing lipases, biosurfactants, long chain fatty acids, also metabolizing different types carbon sources such as hydrocarbons. Besides, Y. receives attention ability produce organic acids. In this review, we explore metabolic abilities acids for the fine chemical industry (fatty acid-derived bio-based compounds) important food pharmaceutical industries bioremediation. With accelerated advance âomicsâ technologies, e.g., genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, genetic engineering, combined bioinformatics, substantial data are increasingly available, allowing optimize applications microorganism. Thus, review covers biosynthesis biosurfactants by lipolytica, exploring current knowledge how regulates accumulation these compounds role cutting-edge technologies in understanding engineering metabolism. Topics be addressed include channeling into lipid metabolism, nitrogen other growth factors metabolism target compounds, besides acid transport, regulatory networks, computational models available lipolytica.

Metabolic engineering of oleaginous yeast Yarrowia lipolytica for limonene overproduction
BACKGROUND Limonene, a monocyclic monoterpene, is known for its using as an important precursor of many flavoring, pharmaceutical, and biodiesel products. Currently, d-limonene has been produced via fractionation from essential oils or as a byproduct of orange juice production, however, considering the increasing need for limonene and a certain amount of pesticides may exist in the limonene obt...
متن کاملOleaginous yeast Yarrowia lipolytica culture with synthetic and food waste-derived volatile fatty acids for lipid production
Background The sustainability of microbial lipids production from traditional carbon sources, such as glucose or glycerol, is problematic given the high price of raw materials. Considerable efforts have been directed to minimize the cost and find new alternative carbon sources. Volatile fatty acids (VFAs) are especially attractive raw materials, because they can be produced from a variety of or...
متن کاملMetabolic Flux Analysis of Lipid Biosynthesis in the Yeast Yarrowia lipolytica Using 13C-Labled Glucose and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry
The oleaginous yeast Yarrowia lipolytica has considerable potential for producing single cell oil, which can be converted to biodiesel, a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. However, extensive fundamental and engineering efforts must be carried out before commercialized production become cost-effective. Therefore, in this study, metabolic flux analysis of Y. lipolytica was performed using ...

Protein expression and secretion in the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica.
Strains and vectors for protein expression and secretion have been developed in the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica. Host strains were constructed with non-reverting auxotrophic markers, deletions of protease-encoding genes, and carrying a docking platform. To drive transcription, either the synthetic hp4d or the inducible POX2 promoter were used. Protein secretion is either directed by the targeting...
